Mercedes Benz, guests party with owner of upscale Bronzeville shoe boutique

Approximately 400 people came out Saturday to celebrate the first anniversary of Nicole Jones' Sensual Steps, an upscale women's shoe boutique at 4518 S. Cottage Grove in Bronzeville.

The swank affair brought out a "who's who" in Chicago's African American business, media, religion and political worlds, including Ald. Toni Preckwinkle (4th); Rev. Michael Pfleger of St. Sabina Church; radio personality Herb "Kool Gent" Kent (WVAZ-FM/102.7); and WLS-TV/Ch. 7 photog Ken Bedford.

All dined on the finest of hors d'oeuvres and free-flowing flavored martinis.
